WORKING ACROSS BORDERS FOR TOYOTA

Develop a sustainable business proposal for TOYOTA, based on the challenge offered to the team.

Background

Working across Borders has been created to give you an opportunity to connect with students across the globe and engage in a common project for a client. In the current globalized world intercultural team skills and awareness of sustainable issues have become crucial to operate professionally in business.

Thus, this project aims to provide you with an opportunity to experience the challenges and workarounds of doing a multi-location and multi-cultural project. It focuses on sustainable business for an internationally oriented client, TOYOTA.

Objectives

The general aims of the project are to:

  • develop effective team working skills and learn how to work in a multi-cultural, multi-location team.
  • create and develop a creative sustainable business proposal for the client

The specific objectives of the project are to:

  • understand the context (SDGs, company’s needs and question, profile of the target customer)
  • formulate a proposal, recommendations for the company and deliver these in a video presentation
  • gain an understanding of your own profile as a team worker
  • practise applying different online collaboration tools
  • learn about sustainable business opportunities
  • develop and/or create solutions to the proposed sustainable challenge
  • act as a professional business consultant and team member
